Hi, I'm Katya, an NTU Games Production graduate and game designer.

What's one word most people would use to describe me? Busy. Among my peers, I have a reputation for constantly picking up new projects and collaborations, and I don't do anything half-heartedly. As a scholarship acheiving student two years running, alongside being nominated academic represantative and school officer of the year, being granted Student Leadership and Music awards, earning equivalent to B1 level German (CEFR) in my final year at university and winning the Confetti Board Game Jam 2021, staying idle is simply something I don't know how to do.

Game design has always held my interest. As well as constantly researching and experimenting with new ideas, I could happily spend hours analysing and discussing the mechanics found within games. Player psychology and its applications towards design is a key focus of mine, as is gameplay-story integration for the creation of a seamless and immersive experience.

At the moment, I'm working on four co-current game projects as a designer alongside my fellow graduates, and am currently building a team for a passion project I'd slowly been building alongside my studies, to resume work once the other projects are near completion. Fate's Arcana, a tabletop game; Sunpō (working title), a fairytale inspired platformer; Tora (working title), a Life is Strange style narrative game and a continuation of the time-travel based puzzle game I worked on for the Game Maker's Toolkit Jam 2021 are my current projects, but there's plenty more to see.
